The Forget Me not Fund Committee is made up of 5 friends who have always talked of doing something to help the Beatson Oncology Centre, but probably thought that was all we would do... talk about it... then after a few glasses of wine the Forget Me Not Fund was born.

Who are we?
(from left to right in picture)Lynn Gillespie - (if we were the Spice Girls then she would be Posh Spice). Lynn lives in Torrance with her husband of 20 years - Robert. Lynn is self employed; she works and drinks full time, but still is managing to put the hours in to help the charity! Because Lynn is known to her friends as Lady Lynn we have put her in charge of organising the Hotel and the catering for the Ball...oh the champagne will be flowing...
Mandy Barrie (Scary Spice). She lives and works in Kirkintilloch with her husband - Colin. Mandy works behind the scenes at her husband's garden centres. Her role within the charity has so far been chief bully and bosser about!
Linda McFarlane is next in the picture (I am not quite sure what Spice Girl she would be ...Clever Spice!). Linda, originally from Dundee (but we don't hold that against her), lives in Kilsyth with her husband Grant and their 3 beautiful daughters, Connie, Mhairi and Hannah. She also manages to hold down a job as a pharmacist! (self- prescribing alcohol on a regular basis). Linda is the grafter within the Charity, continually writing letters and making phone calls to secure prizes for the Evening.
Lyn Imrie (Lyn is definitely the Baby Spice of the group). Lyn lives on a farm in Milton of Campsie with hubby Willie and 4 gorgeous children, Jayne, Lucy, Callum and Kirsty. Lyn also manages to fit in a career and is Company Secretary for her husband's transport business. Lyn's role within the charity is fast becoming "the knocker of doors" asking companies for prizes and donations. Lyn is also the charity's official flirt and has no problem batting her eyelids to ask you for your money!
Scott Macdonald (I don't think we can call him a Spice Girl...so maybe he should be the manager... or dare we call him Old Spice??) Scott lives in Cumbernauld with his partner Laura and is a manager with a logistics company, working down south most of the week. Scott keeps everything together within the charity; keeping us on track and holding the purse strings...he holds the purse strings much better than his drink!
All of the above gives an insight into who we are and although it is written very light-heartedly, please do not under estimate how seriously we take our roles. We have all lost loved ones to cancer and that is why we are all involved with the Forget Me Not Fund, but in honour of the friends and family we have lost...
Life is for Living!
